As danceability celebrates its 19th year, our theme — “Paving the Way” — captures both the incredible journey behind us and the bright future ahead. Every spin, stretch, and smile in our studio is more than movement — it’s a reflection of the inclusive, empowering community we continue to build together for dancers of all abilities.

Alima’s Story: A Journey of Joy and Confidence

When Alima’s mom first heard about Danceability from her daughter’s physical therapist, she was looking for something special — a place where Alima could express herself freely, feel accepted, and be celebrated for exactly who she is.

“I wanted her to be part of something that supports all abilities,” she said. "I was hopeful she would find a place where she could express herself freely."

From her very first class, Alima’s love for dance was clear. She lights up the room each week, her confidence growing with every step. With the kindness and patience of our teachers and volunteers, she’s blossomed — finding new ways to communicate, connect, and believe in herself.

"Seeing Alima dance on stage, she looked so proud and confident, showing she could do it and succeed," her mom shared.

For families like Alima’s, Danceability isn’t just about dance — it’s about belonging, connection, and discovering joy together.

Because of your generosity, danceability now welcomes 215 dancers, supported by over 100 amazing volunteers who bring warmth, laughter, and energy to every session.

This year, we’ve grown in new and exciting ways — introducing programs like:
